The Digital Competency Exchange

Foreign-educated health professionals and the hospitals that need them, connected through verification rather than promises — and under recruitment rules that put the cost where it belongs.

What this platform will not do

Never charge a nurse

No registration fee, no verification fee, no placement fee. The hiring facility bears the cost of recruitment, in full.

Never hold your documents

Your certificates stay yours. Download them any time, withdraw them any time, at no cost.

Never rush a signature

Thirty days to have an attorney of your own choosing read any contract, before you sign it.

Never trap you in one

Seven days to cancel after signing, without penalty and without giving a reason.

Implemented under the TruMerit Health Care Code for Ethical International Recruitment Practices, the ILO Fair Recruitment Initiative, and the WHO Global Code of Practice on the International Recruitment of Health Personnel.

Five phases to verified

A profile reaches the competency directory only when all five have passed.

  1. Phase A

    Civil & Identity

Passport or national ID, matched biometrically to a selfie — then read by a person, who closes the phase.

  2. Phase B

    Academic

Degree, transcript, and the training institution's attestation.

  3. Phase C

    Credentials

NCLEX-RN, TruMerit evaluation, home licence, IELTS or OET.

  4. Phase D

    Clinical

Experience matrix and three responded references.

  5. Phase E

    Health

    Immunizations and TB screening.

Where you come in

I am a nurse

Build a verified portfolio, keep your documents, and be found by hospitals in the United States and Canada. You will never be charged a fee.

We are hiring

Search professionals who have passed a five-phase verification: identity, academic record, licences, clinical experience, and occupational health.

Register a facilityHow this works

We train nurses

Sponsor your graduates, attest to their academic record, and share in the placement fee — reckoned after the portfolio fees the facility has already paid — across deployment milestones.

Become a partnerHow this works

We practise immigration law

You are retained by the hospital and you bill the hospital. African Wood takes no share of your fee. What you get is a case workspace all three parties can read.

Register a firm

Nurses are never charged. What a facility pays is published in full, before anyone registers.
